Hi, My Name is Joe Walsh

No, I’m not the former music star from the Eagles.

But I am a professional mortgage broker who marked 35 year in the business back in 2010.

That’s right, I’ve been at this business now for over 35 years and while I would like to claim I’ve seen everything, this business never fails to surprise me with its seemingly endless scenarios, possibilities, and personalities.

I guess that’s largely why I’ve been at it so long.   Its a very interesting business where I get to meet and help a lot of people and make a living in the process.

To do the math for you, I started out way back in 1975 as a mortgage agent with a mortgage company providing services to mostly home buyers and builders.

After 16 years, I took a position with a Canadian chartered bank as a mortgage specialist in the area of construction financing.  During my time at the bank, I also got to become a regional manager, looking after a staff of 25 builder specialists.

In 2004, I got involved with The Mortgage Centre and acquired a Dominion Lending Centre Franchise in 2011.

Through all the different roles I’ve held over my years of working in the mortgage industry, I’ve really got to understand all the in’s and out’s of how the business works (both good and bad) and how I can create the most value for my clients.

I also serve as a coach and mentor to many mortgage consultants that provide services through the Mortgage Centre Franchise.

I’m fortunate to have a great team of mortgage professionals working with me on a day to day basis to meet the needs of all our customers.
